Take a Journey to Africa
“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.”
— Jawaharlal Nehru
This holiday season, Journey to Africa has partnered with us to help us reach our holiday goal to GIVE JOY. So we’d like to take a moment to share more about their heart and mission:
Who is Journey To Africa?
We are a Safari company originally from Tanzania and living in Houston, TX. We plan customized Luxury Safaris to Tanzania, Kenya and beyond.
What makes Journey to Africa unique to planning my safari experience?
Having lived in Africa, we know and love Tanzania and Kenya. We go back often to Tanzania and Kenya to experience the National Parks and conservation areas. We are constantly adding to our list of adventures besides wildlife Safari. In June, we enjoyed horse riding in Manyara Area, a walking Safari in our private area in the Serengeti and more. We also stay in the lodges we recommend so we can get a first hand idea of the property. Our guides have been in business for a minimum of 6+ years and every low season, they are trained by elite guides like Lewis Mwangba and Ethan Kinsey.
What are some passions of Journey to Africa?
Conservation.
We must save our wildlife for future generations. I would hate it if the only place wildlife survives is in zoos. We supports organizations on the ground that are in the front lines of conservation like DSWT and Big Life Foundation. We use lodges like Asilia Africa and Nomad Tanzania that also support and fund conservation through organizations like the Honeyguide Foundation. We also pay to organizations like Carbon Tanzania who help in off-setting carbon footprints.
Elephants.
Elephants need our help! Being on Safari is taking part in conservation. More funding will go into national parks, private conservancy, lodges +camps, and organizations that help with our elephants survival. We believe that ivory belongs ONLY on elephants. On our trips, tourist have the opportunity to see elephants in the wild, an experience that allows many to walk away with newfound awe and love for these magnificent creatures. Because what’s not to love about these smart giants?! We must do all we can do to protect our heritage. We can not imagine a Safari without them. We hope to spread the word about conservation via social media.
